I’ve always loved to predict and often rely on a bevy of different forecasting systems to assist me. This dates back to betting on anything and everything with childhood friends. Having spent most of my lifetime in this arena, I now consider myself a strong prognosticator. This serves me well more often than not, but I’ve had some spectacular misses that may be the subject of future posts.

Edge/Vocus Study on Email Marketing
How and when some of our studies get picked up occasionally mystifies me. In 2013, we released a study with Vocus on email marketing. It generated a little buzz at the time. Well, according to my Google Alerts, it’s been written up again in the last few weeks. Bizjournal.com did a nice write-up here. While I would encourage everyone to read the entire piece, I’ve been thinking a lot about a sub-point in the study that just over half (51%) of users open emails on a Smartphone. Read more…

Thank You Qual Street
At Edge Research, we have been thinking about how best to incorporate behavioral economics into our studies for the last few months — and we are working on a product with a target launch date of December of this year.
